Isolation isn’t a side effect of abuse—it’s a strategy. The more alone you are, the harder it is to see the truth, and the easier you are to control.

I don't want to live in a society where people with complicated lives and vulnerabilities are seen as expendable in easing the suffering of others. But that's exactly what this assisted dying bill would achieve.

Cultural Criminology
Know the context of systems judging women
The religious bigotry against women underpinning reasoning & argumentation

You have to be a cross between Julie Andrews Nun or Mary Poppins or a madonna

@amandaknox.com was victim of this gross injustice
And, clearly, the stereotype found its way into my courtroom, where a cross hung on the wall and my devoutly Catholic prosecutor accused me not merely of being a murderer, but of being a dirty, drug-addled, woman-hating slut.

We must acknowledge migrant mothers’ experiences of #legal #injustice through the weaponisation of #law. Legal entrapment through The #HagueConvention is the lived reality of mothers fleeing violence and abuse across borders worldwide and it hinders their access to #humanrights.

The fault of sexual abuse lies solely with the perpetrator. It is never the survivor's fault. Much like domestic abuse, the motivation behind SA is power & control. It is a misconception that it is driven by sexual motives.

There's a point in our trauma recovery we realize-- much to our chagrin (my chagrin, anyway, when I realized this)-- that avoidance actually makes us feel more fearful than safe.

That happens w/ every drug of abuse, including avoidance-- the juice stops being worth the squeeze.
