My exact thoughts about Discord exactly! This why I have a discord account, but I don't use it only when I have a specific task to perform and I cannot avoid it (contact someone or talk to someone who is available only there).

I feel the same about video games in general too. Unfortunately. Capitalism always eats up most of its children and the major reason we can't really have nice things too long.

Most professions have "the default" position. This is by association and I don't think it comes from intent of harm or that even that it has any real negative effects. Like working in the radio associated with being the person at the mic not with the person at the knobs.

I hope you'll like it more than I do, I bought the founder edition, paid a metric ton of money and I'm disappointed so far. It needs a year to get into shape, but what do we expect from another 2K product? I still rather start the VI than the VII. :(

They also don't help if you live outside of the US and you need to file for last year. They don't tell you this until you create an account and they don't delete accounts... In theory you can change your personal info in your account, but i guess the logs and saves will remain.

Do you think it would be a kind of solution to return to the "Yahoo Directory"-era? I mean hand-maintained URL catalogue designed after wikipedia? Do you think it would be useful, people would up for it? To avoid AI garbage, obviously.
