The number of times the current GOP uses the phrase "It was a joke" or "he was only joking" one would think they are working harder on honing their "tight 5 minutes" rather than any actual governance.
But it is hard to tell, because they are seemingly incapable of either.

When I first saw Lord of the Rings, I thought it was odd that Mordor was a gated community.
Then my girlfriend pointed out that it probably means they have an HOA...and the whole story made WAY more sense.
