Also failure to raise gear could be the result of distraction due to emergeny, procedure to leave it down due to increase in drag during the retraction cycle or failure so bad the gear system was inop.

Obviously I/we have NO IDEA, just reiterating that fact... So many variables at play

I know little to nothing about this plane's systems, but even some of the smaller GA planes I fly have flap speed protection systems which don't allow flaps to be retracted below certain speeds.

Also the same airplanes warn you of misconfigured flap setting on takeoff...

I think they are referring to the chart “bible” that we use in training very frequently. It is an amazing PDF resource that explains every single symbol on every type of chart. This is a ridiculous move IMHO. It makes zero sense. But then again…. Ehhh whatever ….
