And you thought that was bad:

Here's how they described Westfield Chermside in the article itself: (www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensl...)

Definitely needed subs before it went out!

Who needs subs: Courier-Mail with their big Toombul scoop...

The third picture is of Fairfield Gardens Shopping Centre from the 2022 flood.

Another retail geography fail from the same publication that labeled a image of Westfield Carindale as Westfield Chermside in July.

The worst kept secret in the UK theme park biz that is not Universal has been revealed.

A little bit of Queensland is being set up in the Staffordshire countryside in early 2026.

Going to be a very bitter pill for the Brisbane media to swallow... the only finals game being played in Brisbane in either NRL or AFL next weekend... will be a #QClash at the Gabba.

A match 38 years in the making... and one that will in it's story unite from Fitzroy to Carrara and to the Gabba.

Who needs subs? Special AFL Finals number from today's West Australian back page.

Somehow think we need to teach AI how the alphabet works before we let it loose on teaching said alphabet to children.

Doing the News Corp quango event on Monday in Toowoomba, Matt?

Go there and ask them the question they weren't expecting concerning today's events.

Might also end up getting a question answered about whether or not News is paying politicians under the table...

We've just had some sort of earthquake... a slow roll.

Phone literally warned us of it...

@spencerhowson.bsky.social anything in Kingaroy?

The highlight of the Parramatta Powerhouse shopping mall exhibition will be one of the lifts from Westfield Parramatta... because only one lift near the food court only ever seems to work.

Who needs subs: Westfield selling 25% of Chermside edition (courtesy of the Courier-Mail).

This is captioned "Westfield Chermside".

It's obviously... Westfield Carindale.

Fact: if the Queensland and Australian governments had shown some empathy in 2021, today would be marking seven years until the opening ceremony of the 2032 Tokyo Olympic Games at the Tokyo National Stadium.

I reckon we can make Tokyo 2032 happen to make up for the empty 2020 Games.

Have included an example from Enoshima: (a street view shot) pretty much a temporary seasonal structure… yet it has: a vending machine.

In my opinion, Spencer: it's reflecting what the IOC recommended as a alternate to local venues at bid stage.

Personally, the time has come for a Olympic Games referendum, with questions concerning a QLD state administrator and their powers (inc. recall election), if QLDer's reject the '32 Games.
June 14, 2025 at 1:25 PM
A tip to Queenslanders: Albo's idea (particularly rowing/whitewater in Sydney) is not just common sense, but reflecting what the IOC suggested at bid stage, when rowing was proposed for Larapinta/whitewater in Redlands.
