But I just hope the biggest asset Menulog has... is ultimately sold to someone else: that is, their user data they've collected over two decades.

Openly expecting SkipTheDishes will end up sold, much like SkipTheDishes US arm, that ultimately ended up part of Grubhub, so Just Eat-Takeaway can focus entirely on the EU/UK market.

The real reason 2, is simple. Just Eat-Takeaway sold Grubhub late last year, to pull out of the US.

Reason 2... is not the advertising spend. Remember the Snoop Dogg commercials for Menulog five years ago?
They were part of a wider buy for Menulog's then parent: Just Eat (who were awaiting a merger with Dutch firm Takeaway at the time)
