It’s not just about the shutdown - Republican members of Congress aren’t working so they don’t have to fix the healthcare crisis, ICE & secret police surveillance, abandonment of the rule of law, or the damage of the White House. The’re hiding out to avoid the consequences of complicity with fascism

So the GOP members of Congress aren’t showing up for work-but still being paid- so they cannot fix the shutdown or stop the total & illegal demolition of the historic East Wing of the White House. Meanwhile Democrats are there at their jobs, even the ones Johnson won’t swear in ignoring voters.

All these ICE bros with their masks and no ID obviously never studied history - when it all goes the other way they will be the first ones arrests, convicted & punished while their “supervisors” claim they were rogue & acting outside protocol. And that’s just their earthly judgement.
