Can someone tell me why every YA book geared towards girls is sexually explicit these days? I have 12 and 14 yo daughters, but every time they get into a book there ends up being a few chapters of smut in it. What is going on?

Yeah if i ever get my hands on that kind of time travel that only lets you go back in the light cone or closed timelike curve of your own life, I'm 1) keeping c thomas off the bench, 2) preventing the filming of home alone 2, 3) exposing a BUNCH of little black books, & 4) undoing reality television

I also think this is relevant to things like the ACA/Obamacare confusion. But also terms like ‘climate change’, ‘gender critical’, ‘states rights’ ad infinitum
We lose every battle like this before it even starts because we always let conservatives dictate the nomenclature. We let them set the terms of engagement on every issue. Then we ice skate uphill.
