I did see some interesting discussion pre-awards about how the international selection of outlets, while fairer in some ways, does put smaller games without translations/localizations like Blue Prince at a disadvantage (since that cuts out a percentage of potential jurors).

Lots of things fucked about this but one is that this seems like a vector for insider trading. Like, sports matches don't have a set outcome unless they're fixed, but with things like awards someone knows the outcome ahead of time and I'm not sure there's anything preventing them from betting on it.
