Thank you. That is much better well said. Factory farming clearly is a huge greenhouse gas a meter. And worse. I’m vegetarian but I think it is critical to always say industrial factory farming as being the problem and that goes for both animals and agriculture.

Can someone tell me how the secretary of the DOE has the power to override congressionally funded projects? Or is it an executive power? Why have congress at all? This seems like a violation of the constitution but I don’t know if does anyone know?

Meat is a blind spot for people who care about climate. When I used to have dinner with my colleague Wally Broecker, the climate scientist who coined the term “global warming”, he would always order a steak.

The problem with demanding that people in the Climate movement stop eating meat is that it’s fundamentally racist and anti-indigenous. Many Indigenous people on the front lines eat meat as part of ceremony and culture. You might want to reassess that demand.
