Always love a peek at others' collections! I was so pleased to fit my collection all on one bookcase and then I thought, "Hmmm, aren't there some missing?" and found another box in the basement.

Would a shallow glass bowl work? Then you could stick your hands in and touch or rearrange the stones whenever you fancied, but the cats couldn't get at them (as) easily? I have an IKEA bowl I use for shells, beach glass, and whatever odds and ends take my fancy.
