But it did help that my mom is not a fan of people cutting corners at work, so those damn AI emails really made her mad too 😂

I'm constantly complaining to my mom so it's usually easy to drop things in 😄 Gotta be a complainer! Unless you're ranting to a devil's advocate devotee, you can usually get people to agree with you based on your emotional reaction (& complaining about it on more than one occasion helps too)

The AI movement as a whole seems aimed at promoting everyone to just stop using your brain & stop working on skills. It's scary how many people are eager to give up their humanity under the ruse of "advanced technology is cool, don't fight it"

IMO AI & cameras are not comparable, unless people think all photographers are essentially taking photos of the Mona Lisa & saying "look at my painting!" AI users type prompts to generate images & try to claim they're just as hardworking & talented as the artists their programs steal from.

Oh not your dad!! I planted the "AI bad" seed in my mom's head early by complaining about how my coworkers are using AI to write their emails, do their work, etc & how pathetic it is. Hopefully it's not too late for your dad to turn back to the light 😭

I do that alllll the time - it's so freeing to hit that little block button.
