Chelsea Manning and other trans people hold sit in inside of bathroom across from Speaker Johnson’s office.

Classic Act Up era tactics here.

They were told according to Pablo they would be arrested for sexual misconduct.

Reminder to all able bodied people: you cannot always tell if someone is disabled or not…so if someone asks for accommodation, don’t assume you know better than they do…just give accommodation
Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities! 25% of the country is disabled and yet we’re often the most ignored. It’s still legal to pay us below minimum wage, we can’t get married without losing our medical benefits, and you can become disabled at any time. Listen to us and support us.

Solidarity with every trans friend dealing with this Supreme Court case today. Seeing them bring up the shit that has happened here lays bare the throughline from the Just Asking Questions Columnists all the way through, just like we said it would.

Advice from a Literature teacher and resister: read your history, but don’t forget your literature.

Resistance is woven through the words of abolitionism and feminism and anti-fascism. Read the history and the literature.

I love having creative friends. They make things that haven't existed before that are weird and wonderful and exciting, and they wanna share it with me? It's an honor.

I think it's time people learn how to archive materials at home. Download some collections that are at risk. Organize them in ways you can find and recognize them easily. Find ways to share access with others. Libraries, archives, and museums are going to change next year no matter what.

I'm sure a lot of library and archives folks are thinking about how to protect information from possible censorship, especially with US institutions and education at risk.

Are you doing anything to preserve at-risk data or information? How can non-practitioners help protect access to resources?
