trans people get sexually harassed/assaulted a lot. Making us even more of a visible “other” by making us use a mens’ room is the way you get more of us assaulted and harassed. but that’s never a question I see anyone fretting, because they don’t actually care about trans people.

every time I see someone “just asking questions” about how to protect cis women from sexual harassment if trans women use restrooms alongside them, the unspoken inverse of it - whether the questioner intends for it or not - is that transgender women getting sexually harassed matters less

The fun thing is that with how much other shit has been going on, about twelve total, cumulative seconds of cisgender American life will be spent worrying about trans children. They’re gonna try and kill kids - kids much braver than the majority of adults - and no one cares, it’s business as usual.
