Finding it increasingly difficult to be on social media as the world falls apart around us. I love you all but having the same bad news endlessly shoved in my feed is a lot.

This is my prediction as to what happens. It’s too useful a technology - despite what its detractors say - to simply vanish. AI is much much more than just GenAI, so even if Agentic AI fizzles or whatever, I can’t see it going away.

My son’s parked, unoccupied car was hit last night. No one was hurt, but the car is undriveable. We have a witness who got a partial plate and a description of the vehicle. But, the cops are completely unwilling to help because it’s not a full plate. So frustrating. Why do we have cops again?

Everyone wants an end to the war in Gaza, but I don’t understand why so many people are reacting to the current proposal as a done deal. To me, it seems very unlikely Hamas will fully accept the final deal. I’m not an expert but listen to their language. It seems very far away from acceptance to me.

I’m interested in AI professionally and academically (I know, boo hiss) and there’s a couple accts I look at over there. But it’s galling to see Musk fan boys post stuff like ‘Grok has shattered all performance records with their new release.’ When no. No it hasn’t.
