A critical point from @resfoundation.bsky.social @ruthcurtice.bsky.social at today’s Work & Pensions committee short inquiry on the disability green paper.

Millions will lose out. And, at best, any employment effects will be very small.
While losers are in the millions, likely employment effects are in the tens of thousands. Increasing employment rates an important goal, but will not come close to mitigating the estimates of losses (or changing the poverty impacts materially).
