Indeed, maybe. Hopefully that is avoided. I will cling to my optimism. But inflection points are scary. I wish we didnt live in interesting times.

I will say, though that it’s hard not to be depressed, given that I have a classic liberal education and an awareness of what is happening. Sometimes I really do feel like the observer in a Lovecraft novel that is powerless to stop the horror. Dwelling on that sucks though.

Well, the bottom line between our two points is that we both recognize that we’re at an inflection point. I just hope that there are enough good people remaining in power and into our on the cusp of achieving power that the center will hold.

NYT is arguably worse than Fox News. At least outlets like that are blatant, obvious propaganda. NYT embeds its propaganda more skillfully and subtly in college level language and ostensibly left leaning “bias.” They get street cred by being “called out” by the right… but I think they’re in on it.
