It contains the earliest version of ResEdit I’ve seen, v1.0 D4 - from 1985! 💾

Prototyping my first learning-electronics project kit is winding down (I am finishing up the manual as well). Top is through-hole, bottom my first go at surface-mount (I learned a few things and have changed it some).

The people selling them on eBay aren’t preserving or archiving them, or even testing them. Their aspirational prices artificially inflate things elsewhere. I don’t use the word “selling” because they often don’t sell.

The 1st image shows identical discs at $10 and $100, quite the difference.

If you have Windows, ImgBurn I've found is the easiest way to archive those, if you have a Mac it can sometimes be a bit tricky due to the latest Mac OS, but DM me. 💿

It makes me very sad seeing silly prices for vintage 🍎CDs & disks. 💾

I enjoy getting these and archiving them onto the Internet Archive & Macintosh Garden for fellow geeks & future enthusiasts to enjoy.

I do this with my own funds, but these dumb prices ensure a lot of them will remain lost! 😓

Got my Tecmar Mac Drive working after recapping and repairing the power supply and replacing a shorted cap on the main PCB board. Very cool serial based drive that was available BEFORE Apple's HD20 hard drive solution. #Macintosh #vintagecomputer #retrocomputing

This is a picture of a Tecmar 10 MB Mac Drive that works on a Mac 128K computer. It boots from floppy but spits out the floppy as it's booting and continues to boot from the hard drive. It has an early Syquest drive that takes a 5MB cartridge. I don't have one of those, unfortunately.
