Oooh! In that case, I definitely feel like you're gonna like it.

I haven't really watched Wrestling in a decade, but I definitely relate to the pain of trying to conciliate adult life with personal projects and hobbies, particularly because I have way too many of both.

Always nice to see Ruiner get the love it deserves. Great list, but just checking, is Citizen Sleeper in there somewhere and I somehow missed it, or is it a game you haven't gotten around to playing yet?

I *deeply love* all of the game-related work (that isn't scheduling and wrangling and interpersonal management), love building props and setting up stages and etc, making resources available, but there's a difference between "I like it" and "we just expect it from everyone, players do no work lmao"

The *expectation* that you'll handle all of those things as a GM is deeply problematic, though, don't get me wrong! I really wish we had a bigger opt-in culture for this. As is, saying "I'll GM, but y'all bring the props, print your own sheets and buy your own snacks" is a fast way to end a group.

I frequently feel like being a forever-GM is my second job, tbh. I'm fine with running the game, truly! Books, battle maps and miniatures are good excuses to collect shiny new things and feed my inner crow. I even enjoy prep (most of the time)! HATE the event organizer and people-wrangler part, tho.

I love West Marches, but they do seem like something that works better in theory than in practice. I've been trying to organise an open table inspired by that playstyle for years, and I always get stuck in the prep phase. I tell myself it's better this way, because it spares me from logistics, lmao.

My biggest joy when it comes to Witcher 3 is picking the kindest, most conciliatory options in every quest, because that's just what Book!Geralt would do. Definitely one of my favourite protagonists, and one of those rare cases where there's a great character hiding behind an edgy design.

Scheduling is such a big factor. I know a lot of people who'd love to get into TTRPGs, but most of their schedules just don't match with everyone else's, so they usually have two options: resignation, or joining random games online. And we all know how the latter usually works out, sadly.

Impeccable taste!

In that case, they have a 1 in 4 chance of permanently getting the Living Nightmare Advantage "for free". Yay?

There are several ways the player coterie could stumble into this, such as a request from the Sheriff or from a Baron, but the obvious one is if one of them is a Bagger. Happy hunting! 2/2

It makes sense as a design decision, but it does make the book a little harder to parse at the table. Nothing the (free, I believe) quick rules booklet can't fix, though!

My hot take of the day is that AW 2e should've gone the way of having a Players Manual (with the core rules, all playbooks, Moves and so on), *and* a Master of Ceremonies Handbook with advice, advanced rules and examples. Still a pretty perfect game (and book), though.

That's something I really appreciate whenever I'm learning a new game, PbtA or not. I truly respect writers who can pull that off, because it's a deceptively hard feat, particularly when done well.

If it wasn't for nostalgia and a weird attachment to the game that got me into TTRPGs, I don't think I'd still be engaging with VtM instead of VtR. Requiem is the best Vampire game White Wolf's ever made, 1e and 2e both.
