But like... the AI stuff is REALLY bad. Even if you're not inherently against AI, it looks like dogshit, and it absolutely jerks you out of the period.
Also every time they use digital effects, it's glaring and obvious and there are SO MANY perfect use cases for practical FX they dropped the ball.

Finally got around to watch Late Night with the Devil.
It's... really bad.
It's a very derivative mess, it fell flat as a period piece, the characters felt nothing like people, and every single time you saw the obvious work of a computer or AI, it sucked and broke even modest immersion.
