I finished the latest installment of the October Date boss by Seanan McGuire way too late last night.
This series has been with me long enough that it feels like coming home.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Hildur Knútsdóttir for PolCon last weekend, so I of course read her book The Night Guest in preparation for the interview.
I am not a horror fan but I was fascinated. It was like reading a train rack of someone's life.
My review is below

May was a really good reading month for me. I liked everything that I read and I got to read some wonderful things. The graphic says 11 books, that's not true - I read 11 stories. Some of those short short-stories.

I just finished reading The Vengeance by Emma Newman. 📚💙

Review: I really liked Morgane as a character, she might be a bit brass and that gets her into trouble but she will admit that she is wrong and she knows what she likes and will go for it.

It's not often I get to read a stand-alone fantasy novel - and to have it be this good as well. That's really something.
My sister and I did a buddy read of 'The Witch who Trades with Death' by C.M. Alongi

REVIEW: love the characters of Hells Bells on tictok, which I have been watching for years now - apparently since 2021 - so seeing them in a well executed novel was wonderful.

I finally got around to buying the paperback of The Velocity of Revolution by @mrmaresca.com !
It's queernorm, diesel punk set in a non European setting where everyone is poly and there is a revolution brewing. And it has some really cool motorbike race screens. Easily five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm currently reading Black Thief for my reading circle. We met tomorrow and I'm only half way done, but I find that I don't want to rush it because I'm enjoying myself too much to want to leave our narrator behind. Even if he is a knave and a thief.
