Thank you for writing this. People don't want to give dogs from a shelter because they think the dog caused it's problem to get there and sometimes that is not the whole story or true story.
You are right. Someone has to give her a chance to mellow out.

Our staffordshire Reyka, about 14 yo; we’ve had her 11 years. She was a problem dog that would lunge at humans within reach. We have to keep her on a short lease and warn people not to pet. She’s mellowed nicely and is now a sweet dog - to us. Give Melia a chance. We’ve been happy with Reyka.

Dear Madaline, thank you so much for your wonderful comment! Sorry for replying so late. The church and candlelight were very romantic. The audience dressed warmly because it was chilly, but they were all incredibly chic! It was such a dream to perform in such a setting.
