One reason that X remains a ‘core’ news and information app is that vital utilities and public bodies treat it as a central communication tool with the public.
Gardai, buses, trains, weather alerts, airports, councils etc.

It seems like a joke... until it isn't. RyanAir's market cap is around $35B, less than what Musk paid for Twitter in 2022, when he had roughly a third of the net worth he has now ($766B). When your net worth nears a trillion dollars, everything is purchasable, just as Twitter and the election were.
