'24, thanks to automation &downsizing, that # was 61. AB oil prod is ever increasing yet the people no longer reap the benefits.

I mean 🇨🇦 gov wants to fast track the Ksi Lisims LNG terminal which is 100% owned by Texas Western LNG that is financed by Blackstone & Apollo so I wouldn't say those in power in 🇨🇦 are truly that concerned about continued ties to the US. The only ones "diversifying away" are the people of 🇨🇦.

🇨🇦 is also 7th from the bottom (out of 67) on the Climate Change Performance Index. Beating Saudi, Iran, US, RU, Korea & UAE.

Oil prod ⬆️ 41-52% in the last 10yrs but due to automation & downsizing, the people of AB do not even benefit. Only the 1% win, the rest of us burn.

These massive signs will not slow many down. What actually needs to happen is improved road design. Adding pinch points, chicanes, boulevard trees, strategic/illusion paint, speed humps & cushions, mini roundabouts, etc. are what's needed...& maybe a little wind turbine to power the street lights 😉

I feel like 🇨🇦 and 🇦🇺 must really enjoy swapping "ways to squeeze more 💰 out of O&G, while completely ignoring and absolutely not mitigating the looming climate disaster" initiatives.

With investment, we could shift focus to transition straight to a green economy. Global demand for LNG has already peaked. Getting LNG to market takes much longer, is bad for people & the 🌎 & is MUCH more expensive than renewables.
