This month we celebrate the 60th anniversary of MADS Little Theatre. The society was founded in 1947 and initially performed at numerous venues around Macclesfield, before renting the Lord Street Sunday School from 1954.

Best known as an abstract artist, her work takes inspiration from performance, the human body and the local landscape. Jo says: “I was a figurative artist before I embraced abstracts, so I enjoyed getting back to my artistic roots for MADS…”

She was also incredible in Tomorrow in the Battle in February and probably would have won something for that too if it were eligible! This will be her first time directing on the main stage since 2012’s The Memory of Water.
