DC-based technical analyst, I study that which should never be used. All opinions my own, but you probably shouldn't trust me anyways.

Found an article from a few weeks back that they're apparently denying Catholic priests/nuns access to give communion.
Probably because they know that would mean showing the horrific conditions to outsiders!

But this is what they want!
Vote, get involved, and STAY ANNOYING to make sure they actually do their jobs! Call your reps and show up at town halls!

The problem is our primary system fundamentally removes any kind of central authority for party leadership - party leadership doesn't have a say!
If we had a parliamentary system with multiple parties (and went back to picking loyal politicians in smoke-filled rooms) it may actually work better!

To be clear, we don't know if this is a leadership decision and they ultimately don't have any power over individual senators aside from kicking them out of the party (which IMO they should be openly threatening to primary members who oppose healthcare)

The whole "license a country" thing is iffy too. Stuff like 123 Agreements (which allow exporting nuclear reactor technology) have to be approved by congress!

Worth noting that the airports where service is being cut (in big cities) are actually the *profitable* ones that COULD fund their own ATC if they wanted!
Weird how Republican policies always end up hurting blue states/big cities while subsidizing red areas....

I still can't get over that they *somehow* found money for NPS to put back up the *only* Confederate statue in all of DC during the shutdown (after it was torn out in 2020)
Really shows where the priorities are

Despite Trump accusing 60 minutes of deceptively editing coverage of Kamala, they actually did it for him this time around! This wasn't the first question!

Another side effect is that denying people SNAP will lead to more poor people having to steal food so it'll give justification for the regime to "restore order from out of control crime"

One of my coworkers commented that Trump is the first president to care about architecture/design and then I see stuff like this and have to wonder if I'm taking crazy pills

A large part of the NPL/DFL era was specifically local newspapers that were pumping out anti-corporate sentiments on the daily. Those local papers have basically all died out and been replaced by facebook

It sounds like he's mad the Russians are doing so much at Novaya Zemla and wants us to match that pace.
Someone else mentioned environmental impact statements potentially holding things up- would that still apply if we did ocean tests ala Crossroads?

The super duper fancy Ramen place near me (Menya Hosaki, line around the block every day they're open) uses a bunch of induction hobs for cooking noodles/various other tasks. I'd share a picture but they have a sign requesting you don't take any since it can annoy the workers.

I'm sure their article on datacenters not driving up electricity prices (forced on me via push notification) is perfectly unbiased!
