sometimes im in a position to say something positive in dark times, but right now i just want to say its okay to feel devastation too. thats what this is. it is horrible and we do not need to push through it with smiles. sometimes you can push through it with a heavy heart. both ways prove love

This was a rough one thanks to some family emergencies, but I'm happy to report that I have wonderful colleagues in my department and awesome students. But boy howdy, still have not figured out how to balance teaching/research/having a life.

Grades may be in but now my watch (writing) begins.

Yeah! That looks like a useful tool! I'm supposed to be doing an online course dev program for a summer class in January, so let's touch base soon!

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm toying with doing some sort of group annotation (whether through gdocs or perusall or something else) for next semester! Thinking of dividing them up into small groups and asking for X amount of annotations and responses to other students.

I'm a quarter of the way through and my first thought was whether or not you had gotten a copy yet!
