There are a lot of genuine ethical concerns about ai and its use but some of yall are acting like puritans clutching their pearls about the devil instead of adults thinking critically about a very real set of problems

I also find companies shoehorning ai into everything is annoying but I also don’t think something being annoying is reason to ban it, please think with your brain

I’m not going to get all the way into it but clearly someone was told to combine concepts and didn’t think carefully about what that might do to the existing setting of 5e and its model of the universe

…the story ABOUT that, about their deficiencies or problems or just avoiding lionizing or romanticizing them, but at the heart of it that’s not the story I want to tell. Which means I just move to the next idea, but it’s also odd knowing most people wouldn’t give it a second thought

In a similar vein; it reminds me of a piece I saw ages ago but when I looked at the rest of their art it was all extremely explicit pornography (which is fine, but makes it hard to recommend to certain friends if we’re not that close) and how I seem to have a knack for finding one-off pieces

The way the average person just doesn’t know shit about ai but uses it religiously is kind of scary

The practical reason being “my wife and I share a desktop computer and I don’t want to mess up her whole thing just because I’m 24/7 mad at Microsoft

I genuinely thought they just didn’t want to learn new systems but it really is more like “I’m invested in 4 other fandoms right now and I don’t have time to learn the lore for another”

I think what makes Dredge fun and addicting is the contrast between the fishing mechanics and the dark atmosphere. Yes there’s the horrors but I need to check my crab pots
