Ooh, seven nation army is a good pick. Let it shine I don't think is even the name of the song, just the lyric that gets snipped out of it all the time. Your right about happy though; I wish I didn't associate it so strongly with being sold something.

Im struggling to think of recent examples. It feels like the songs that come out and become part of the furniture these days do so after being played to death on TV/internet adverts until you develop an audio gag reflex to them. 'Let it shine', 'Happy', various love songs I don't know the names of.
