People should contribute to society because they want to, not because the system forces them to... except I also think there should be some form of a mandatory service year to facilitate social bonds. Could be as simple as planting trees! But something we’d all have in common with each other.

part of the problem is that healthcare and insurance executives find it easier to make money by ripping people off than by providing more effective and affordance healthcare

i don’t understand how shifting subsidies from medical companies to people helps. healthcare shouldn’t be a for-profit business. but healthcare executives absolutely should be well compensated, billions, conditional on targets like 95% of americans getting a standard preventative screening annually.
