This in a nation of laws is foundational, but the U.S. has strayed from this principle, undermining its core identity and the trust of its people.
Only criminals attack the innocent. ICE agents abusing power should be arrested, and so should the man who gave them their orders.

The MAGA movement didn’t invent anything new, it just dragged into daylight what had long been crawling beneath the floorboards: racism, hatred, and intolerance. These forces have always been woven into the country’s DNA; now they’re simply harder to ignore.
The descent into cruelty isn’t accidental. It’s cultivated. What began as Trump’s instinct has become MAGA’s culture, where dehumanization is a strategy and empathy is treated as weakness. That always carries a cost.
