We've launched a new page that outlines what we're trying to do with open working projects and importantly, *why* we're doing it.

This isn't the internet we want and we're going to do everything to make sure we're making things better, not chasing profit over anything.

Alright, we're actually doing this open working thing.

We're going to work on projects, for real clients who are set up to make people's lives tangibly better.

We can only do that if it works financially though because we've got mortgages etc.

Your support will make this happen.
We’re trying a rather radical new approach at Piccalilli by doing real world projects — for real clients — in the open. This gives us a context to provide genuine high quality, real world education for free at the point of entry.
We need your support to do free projects for good causes and publish free high quality education

In Astro 5.7, every SVG is an Astro component! Import it, use it in your page and it will be inlined in the HTML. You can even pass it any SVG props.

The progress of the web shouldn’t be dependant on a corporation that discards one of the real forces of progress overnight like they’re nothing.

Extremely poor form, Google. Truly disgraceful behaviour.

in September I found a pretty critical stored XSS vulnerability in a licensed third-party component (BIG company)

Today I found exactly the same bug with slightly different syntax lol

I was diagnosed with lung cancer a year ago today. I expected the day to feel reaffirming, because I have made it a year and am doing great. But I think a fact of survivorship is that you’re always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
