yeah but Willow and Stat don't have matches and we should still be angry about that 😤 - that other app, apparently

Like I do not like talking with puro and joshi fans on the other site, because no offense to them, they come off as entitled, pretentious, and think AEW should cater to their tastes 100% of the time and if doesn't, it's bad.

I consider myself a day one fan, I only started taking it more seriously around 2022 and I think AEW catering to the "smart" fan comes with positives and negatives. You get passionate fans, but you also get the smarky, miserable fans who want wrestling to be one way and one way only.

It's been very noticeable and reminiscent of past booking these last few shows, I'm not trying to shit on the other creative team, but there is a very clear difference to me who is in charge of creative on a show.

I've noticed most WWE viewers nowadays are either young, old, or were not watching from 2010 to 2019, because WWE was the drizzling SHITS for most of that time period. The only saving grace was B&G NXT but even then, it was basically ROH/PWG with all the familiar faces they had.

Jack Perry's development has been great to watch, it's a shame he probably won't get as much credit as he deserves because reasons

I noticed I tend to invest REALLY early with future stars. I bought into Swerve when he was on NXT and I bought into Fletcher when he first started his singles run when Mark Davis are injured. Both of them are made men now. We wouldn't have gotten there without giving them a chance.

Trust me, I understand these feelings to the core, because I am an Elite fan and I want my guys to have TV time. But I also understand this is a promotion, you have to make time for other wrestlers to get better, get over, or just go out there and kill it. There will be hits and flops always.
January 24, 2025 at 11:26 PM
trust me, I thought I was going insane being on that other app because talking AEW on there is just something I don't even enjoy doing anymore, a lot of people enjoy being doomers more these days
January 24, 2025 at 10:54 PM
Exactly, we can't all be satisfied at all times. It's impossible for a promotion to be "perfect" from top to bottom, sometimes we have to see things we probably don't care for. And that's what AEW has always been since the beginning, a smorgasbord of different wrestling styles and tastes.

*everything in

I also believe that more people to be aware of their biases, like there are quite a substantial amount of people who only really want to have The Elite, Swerve and Ospreay ONLY on their screens and to hell with everyone else. It's not it man, not everything is wrestling is going to be for you.

Personally I just think the execution is off with the Death Riders. Less typical heel things, more clean finishes and defenses. Get the Trios belts defended regularly. Way less interferences and dirty finishes. Would help way more for their presentation, as I think they feel too WWE-ish lately.
January 12, 2025 at 6:01 PM
and I honestly believe Darby would benefit more from beating Mox and it's going to take a while to get there. presentation for wrestlers and divisions don't change overnight. You have to buy people into the vision and change their perception of it. story beats take time, that's storytelling 101.
January 8, 2025 at 5:30 PM
patience only exists with WWE fans these days, ironically enough

people on the other site are pretending the Death Riders angle (and sometimes Mox himself) has been bad since it started, but i'd argue it's only really been sluggish for this past month, but this is a slow burn after all.
January 8, 2025 at 4:58 PM
i suspect these "Kenny should beat Mox" people will be disillusioned and back to their doom and gloom within the next week or so, fans need to stop setting themselves with their fantasy booking or they'll just continue being disappointed. let Kenny do what he wants.

the overreaction from AEW fans on the other app is exhausting to be around and I'm tired of them saying we're the problem for enjoying the shows and seeing nothing /majorly/ wrong instead of whining about the booking of my favorite wrestlers. so many people are obviously just biased over there
