Future analysis about physical and mental health data from 2025-2029 will show that 47's human services, health, disability, education, financial, immigration, transportation, etc policies and legal actions were ruinous to under-resourced/supported people.
A photo of my pinned tweet from February 18, 2017. The tweet reads: "future analysis about physical and mental health data from 2017-2021 will show that 45 (a disrespectful way to refer to Trump during his first term without saying his name) was the source of a public health crisis."

"However, the thing that the doc captures so beautifully from its fly on the wall perspective is Maron’s steadfast commitment to becoming a better human, no matter how much it breaks down him down or exposes him in the process."

Tall Gerald, medium Gerald, low Gerald 😍
A photo collage of Gerald the cat, a large gray tabby sitting on top of his cat tree. On the left is tall Gerald, sitting up straight and tall. In the middle is medium Gerald, sitting up but hunched over. On the right is low Gerald, on all four feet but low to the ground.

House Speaker Mike Johnson is trying so hard to be a good soldier for Trump. To swear in Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva means momentum jumps towards releasing the Epstein files. Mike has become complicit in the cover-up and he has no immunity

This is my line too because I'm sick of it. I don't listen to, follow, watch, read, befriend, etc. people who are violent against girls and women. Same for people who side with those people.

Part of what’s happened is that as (neoliberalism, if you prefer) our political theory of governance starves one part of the social safety net, people flee to the other parts. A disability claim is, for a lot of people, an onerous, hard to get last stop on a train heading for a brick wall.

"NO CASH ACCEPTED" is a global crisis. I have seen this on three continents now. It's anti-poor, anti-youth, anti-immigrant and pro-surveillance. I had thought it was an American problem, then a Western one, but surveillance capitalism is taking over even the smallest transactions globally.

Sue and Ryan talking about officiating. Sue makes two points that I don't hear people talking about. 1. Refs overlap, working both NCAA and WNBA. NCAA is a tighter called game, so the refs can do it 2. Best refs use the W as a stepping stone to MNBA

Officiating aside, the 2025 WNBA season felt different as the negative influence faded into the background and this joyful influence filled the space. Joyful fandom is what enduring fans of the W are used to and it was great to experience this again. By Sarah Chovnick. #loslynx #theyride

I really do hope the phrase “Kavanaugh Stop” or “Kavanaugh Encounter” sticks.

A lot of the comedians who chose to participate have sexual assault histories and/or are hacks who punch down and call it comedy so I'm not surprised by the list of performers.

On the flip side, a doc about Maron comes out in theaters on Friday

Kayla McBride, very emotional, on this #Lynx season:

"It's the people you go to work with every day. ... You just want it for the people that are around you. ... In pro sports, it doesn't get as good as we have it in our locker room. ... This shit fucking hurts."

After the season the Lynx had, I thought they were locked in and together on their way to a WNBA championship. I'm beyond bummed that injuries and bad officiating are the closing themes of our 2025 season. I'll be rooting for the Aces from here on out

A tweet from Alexa Philippou (@alexaphilippou) on X. The tweet reads: “Stephanie White & Becky Hammon were asked about Cheryl Reeve’s comments from Friday night: White: ‘I think that she made a lot of valid points… I think at some point there has to be some accountability.’ Hammon: ‘From what I heard, she did not tell a lie. 3. Cheryl's a smart woman. Saying that the WNBA hasn't done its job when it comes to quality officiating hasn't gotten us anywhere. I think her reaction was honest but I also think she knows that it's going to take shit like this to embarrass the league to finally improve officiating
makeherway.bsky.social
I have 3 thoughts on the matter:
1. Cheryl's behavior on the court was unacceptable. She deserves to be suspended
2. I agree with everything she said in the post game press conference. If she kept her reaction in check on the court, she'd only have a fine
WNBA
MINNESOTA LYNX HEAD COACH CHERYL REEVE
SUSPENDED
NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2025 - Minnesota Lynx Head Coach Cheryl Reeve has been
suspended for one game for her conduct and comments during and following the Lynx's
84-76 loss to the Mercury at PHX Arena in Phoenix on Friday, it was announced today
by the WNBA. Her conduct and comments included aggressively pursuing and verbally
abusing a game official on the court, failure to leave the court in a timely manner upon
her ejection with 21.8 seconds to play in the fourth quarter, inappropriate comments
made to fans when exiting the court, and remarks made in a post-game press
conference. Reeve will serve the suspension tomorrow when the Lynx play the Mercury
in Game 4 of the teams' semifinals series in Phoenix.
In addition, Reeve and assistant coaches Eric Thibault and Rebekkah Brunson have
each been fined. Thibault was fined for his inappropriate interaction with an official on
the court. Brunson was fined for an inappropriate social media comment directed at
WNBA officials.

There are so many people who watch the WNBA who do not know the rules of the game of basketball
nanjala.bsky.social
Absolutely not. Short of making her leg magically disappear what was AT supposed to do? Phee initiated the contact. She twisted her ankle - not her knee where any incidental contact was made. If anything Phee needs to have a word with the people who make her shoes. #wnba

I wasn't able to watch the Lynx game last night, I'll be watching it in a little bit. I've seen clips, this is a foul in the first minute of the game and this is a foul in the last minute of the game. I slowed down the video to show the contact was significant enough that AT got knocked off balance
makeherway.bsky.social
AT initiated considerable contact far away from the basket. It was not a clean steel. It was a foul.
