I designed and made a pair of legs for a platform project last night. Everything went beautifully, until it was time to remove the pieces from my machine. The tape I used was too strong, and both legs got destroyed as I tried to remove them. Thicker/solid wood and less sticky, next time. 😀

Kind of leveled my spoilboard today, and because I have the memory of a goldfish, I added a reminder to reset zero. I also made a star for the Christmas tree because the shop bought one is too heavy to stay in position. #rookiedesignmistakes

Thinking of hiring someone to handle the responses to my snowblower ad on marketplace.

Great response from MUN's president. I have a lot of trust in her ability to do what's right for MUN's future, even if it potentially means my own job is on the line (that is unrelated to the Harlow discussion). Harlow consultations complete gazette.mun.ca/campus-and-c...

I love my espresso machine, but I do regret not paying the extra $100 for wooden accents. The plastic taps and handles felt really cheap. I commissioned someone to make me some wooden ones out of Macassar Ebony, and they're beautiful. #moreespressolessdepresso #espresso #coffee

Really seeing the effects of BelAir Direct's virtual monopoly on car insurance in NL this year. Insurance up this renewal by $120. My wife and I are both more than 25 years claims free, both over 55, driving 7 and 8 year old cars, less than 8,000km a year each.

Getting better at this latte art thing. The tail is just because I have a bit of milk left over and a bit of empty cup to put it in.

Just read a MUN advisory referring to Petro-Canada Hall in the School of Music. It hasn't been called that in 12 years. 😆

Looks like Brazil has turned his pub into an Embassy or something. Can't spell tongues.

Plumbed in my espresso machine today. This has been a project living rent free in my head for way too long thanks to the incompatibility of European to North American plumbing fittings. I have yet to do the waste side of things, but at least that's just regular old ABS pipe.

Always hate to see graffiti on my daily walks through Airport Heights, but I must say, they chose a very nice shade of blue.

My doggie has ruined my leather sofas over the years but as we place doggie stairs strategically around the house and I plan to build the deck to garden ramp, it is with huge sadness that I fear her furniture ruining days are probably over. 🥲❤️🐶

Never thought my daily camera was any good for sports shooting, but today I was shooting a subject in connection with sports and caught the exact moment a seagull shat on them, so maybe its got better timing than I thought. :D

Washed and brushed my 30 pound beagle. The fur that came off her was enough to make an entire German Shepherd. How does that work?

You should have to prove you can park one of these before they let you buy one. What is it with truck drivers?

Tip for @G&GHomes: if you’re going to cut people off and drive aggressively in your big truck, pick a truck without your branding on it. It’s really not a good look.

Could really use some #RNC patrols and enforcement in Airport Heights. I saw 5 cars go through the wrong way thru construction at Majors Path today. The signage is plentiful, there’s no excuse for this lawlessness. The no plate dirt bikes popping wheelies up PCR also grates my teeth.
