Both my parents who were 3 years old at the time had damage to their homes from the bombing on that night.
Tonight in 1940 the medieval city of Coventry was smashed by a Luftwaffe raid. Today the ruined cathedral stands as a memorial, around it fragments of its historic environment survive. Here is the History Hit film on the raid.

Studies show: Trees are the true air conditioners. Under a tree, the temperature can be 15 C° cooler than measured in the ambient air. Shade and evaporation create the same effect as a conventional A/C, but without electricity. A tree produces about 20-30 KW/h, as much as ten A/C
