I was on food stamps for about seven years. You can't get them if you're in the country illegally, period. I think there are some limited circumstances where noncitizen legal residents can get them but it's hard. Everyone on EBT has to provide ridiculously strict paperwork ALL THE TIME to get food.
We’re filing a lawsuit challenging the Trump Administration’s illegal demand for SNAP recipients’ personal information, including immigration status.
 
Families should be able to get the assistance they need without fearing that they will be targeted by this administration.

This is hitting Steubenville. We had to use the food pantry many times to make ends meet this winter. I think we technically still qualify, but there's nothing. No meat, the vegetables are more and more random. Last week my neighbor went and they just had pudding cups.

Apparently poor grandma doesn’t deserve heat. Among other things LIHEAP helps low income Americans including many on fixed incomes afford heating their homes in the winter. These people are sick. Rotten to the core. Let them continue to accuse liberals of being evil. Let them be judged.

In the DOJ's motion against the restraining order on birthright citizenship, they cited an 1884 case that denied Indigenous Americans birthright citizenship. This ruling was reversed by a 1924 act that grants birthright citizenship to the Indigenous.
