I can't be bargained with. I can't be reasoned with. I don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and I absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.
Just getting excited for the #wimbledon semi-final and then it’s absolutely RUINED by Claire handing over to Andrew fucking Castle. HOW IS HE EMPLOYED?!

McEnroe really is a terrible pundit. Inane and irrelevant chatter and not even an attempt to pronounce players names correctly. I always thought it would be Castle’s random bullshit that tipped me over, but it’ll likely be the way McEnroe says Zverev. #wimbledon

Every year I forget how unbearable Andrew Castle is as a commentator. Just talking about the Alcaraz-Sinner rivalry, he said ‘there’s another who could join them, Taylor Fritz’.

Be serious. You can’t just say names, Andrew. You may as well have said Ivan Lendl.

9/10 right for #Eurovision semi-final 2 - absolutely gutted by one of those results but thrilled for Latvia!

Predicted 9/10 for the #Eurovision semifinal qualifiers, and the ten that went through are the ten that I hoped would qualify, so I’m delighted with the result.

Have really enjoyed the scaled back #Eurovision rehearsal coverage - far easier to enjoy the whole thing when there’s no immediate unhinged fan responses to one bum note in the very first run through.

🧵NOT BY ME, this is a post from someone who wants to remain anonymous but works extensively with trans people pre-transition. They were asked by someone “why do you think that’s so much [coverage of trans people] in the news at the moment?”

This was their response:

Where we are is the inevitable result of giving undue deference to "sincerely held beliefs."

It actually does not matter if your beliefs are sincerely held or not. If your sincerely held belief is that certain human beings are less than others, you suck, no matter how sincerely you believe it.

One of my absolute favourite things about the #eurovision fandom is people stating what ‘needs’ to happen next year, before listing 15 major changes to a hugely successful format that maybe implements one change every six years.

How Finland’s Left are beating the far right by rejecting austerity and championing workers rights.

Labour, take notes. This is how it’s done.
Not sensible adults in the room centrism. Left wing populism.

🧵Mark Zuckerberg’s cravenly cynical decision to get rid of fact checking on Facebook, Instagram and Threads is reminiscent of the opening scene of The Godfather, where various local businessmen come to show their fealty to the mafia boss. 1/15

She spent her life trying to harm other people and thus the world is better now she has gone. Get fucked

This is such an exceptional upgrade. After one episode we’ll forget it was ever someone else. It had best transfer to the main series.

The singer of ‘I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus’ believing her mother to be kissing Santa Claus rather than her father makes the lyric ‘what a laugh it would have been, if daddy had only seen’ borderline sociopathic.

Who is laughing? Not your mom or dad, I’d venture. You? Doubt it.
