Understanding the Gaelic meanings behind place names gives us a deeper connection to the landscape and a glimpse into the animist beliefs of the people who named them. The land was seen as alive - mountains, rivers & valleys often personified and hinting at the spirits or deities inhabiting them.

This was such a lovely activity at the community garden.

Pressing the pumpkin seeds into the apple or pine cone was great for little hands and fine motor skills.
