February is Marfan Syndrome Awareness Month. I'm posting about it because some folks may be misdiagnosed with EDS who may really have Marfan Syndrome.

And vice versa.

Study up!

This is becoming absurd—federal employees are now being told to remove pronouns from their email signatures. We will always stand by our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, no matter how many things we’re asked to delete or change. Inclusivity is at the core of who we are.

I had a doctor tell me how good I look…because of how bad I look on paper. I told him it takes hard work and dedication. I am still seething the next day. I survived brain surgery, end stage CCI, and becoming paralyzed from the waist down. I’m happy to be alive, walking. I told him so. #chiari #eds

Don’t feel bad if you can’t fully boycott due to disability. You deserve access to medical supplies and grocery delivery. Don’t go without on principal. Your job is to survive this

Love that Emma is sharing her story. Having lost my ability to walk twice, I relate to this so much. It’s hard work, but we’re cheering you on!
At just 21, Emma Daniels from Norwich, England, is trying to change the way people perceive mobility aids. Emma’s #EDS worsened in 2023, leading her to lose the ability to walk. But for Emma, her wheelchair isn’t a limitation—it’s freedom. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... #EhlersDanlosSyndrome

What is the most niche song in your rotation? Mine is Sleep Well Tonight by the Dissociatives. That album is pure chaos and I was obsessed with it my freshman year of college. Coincidentally the same time I joined the Book of Face #music

As a christian and a human being I stand with Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde. She is speaking the vision and message of Jesus and the Gospels, and truth to power of showing mercy and love to all, and treating everyone with dignity. I hope all people of faith support her in this moment.
