I worked five hours, came home to make a pecan pie and cinnamon pecan streusel Bundt cake, stuck a turkey in the oven (not hosting but spouse wants leftovers) and now will put flannels on downstairs bedroom.

This is an actual Civil War “invalid feeder cup” beside an advance copy of my Civil War Romeo and Juliet, THE JACKAL’S MISTRESS. One of the main characters is a Union officer who might have depended on such a device after being gravely wounded in 1864. The novel arrives March 11! (I love research.)
