Idk but my Washington permit was $55 and my Oregon was $115. They should really be free for it to be considered a right but I think anything over 100 is a bit too much.

I’d be for more free & easy to schedule safety training & self defense training also teaching basic gun safety like 4 rules at appropriate ages in school.

in many high crime neighborhoods it’s dangerous to be seen talking to cops, or maybe you don’t have your permit, even if you call the cops you can be fucked over by your local anti-gun prosecutor so for many if there’s no damage it makes way more sense to brush yourself & process it on the way home.

It’s 82%-95% I misquoted the 92% from a different study but it does fall within that range. Whichever way you look at it the vast overwhelming majority involve zero shots fired. Which makes sense intuitively. Nobody wants to get shot & most predators don’t want a fight they just want easy victims.

Because it saves way more lives than gun homicides, stops mass shootings way more reliably than cops, 92% of DGU’s involve just brandishing which means victim AND attacker(s) get to walk away unharmed. And if you’re admitting they’re safe then okay agreed so what’s the issue?

Wym lol I’ve provided multiple stats showing that’s wrong. DGU’s. CCW crime rates. Armed citizens vs cops stats. None of them count because you’re incredibly biased.

92% of DGU’s 0 shots are fired. Concealed carry: all around win/win for society but also human right so even if the averages & stats weren’t on our side it would still be none of your business what people privately do to stay safe. Relying on a (fascist) government for protection is your choice.

If you want to do averages tho carry permit holders are consistently the safest citizens around you. 5.7X less likely to commit violent crime 13.7X less likely to commit non-violent crime. Commit less crime than cops and do better at stopping active shooters with less collateral damage than cops.

I’m not sure how your slur analogy relates anything but but ironically using medians & averages from pre-fascism studies to justify taking rights from everyone now mostly fucks over minorities the most bit everyone to different extents.
