A few BlueSky pals at the show last night.

@carolinebinnie.bsky.social quite brilliantly acquired a setlist from some distance back. No wonder they call her the Setlist Queen!

Nice to see @mikec1977.bsky.social again too and meet @alanmuttley1066.bsky.social for the first time (briefly).

ME/CFS is a devastating condition that has long been denied, dismissed, psychologised and underdiagnosed. Research is at last starting to catch up with it, with glimmers of hope for those who have been left untreated for so long.
There's a huge BUT coming ...🧵

Out-store gig for Idlewild at St Luke's this evening. Good show but it would have been nice to have heard more than five songs from the new album.

We're seeing him on Friday.

Ok. All the ducks lined up for our flying visit to Newcastle tomorrow for Edwyn.

December is always a nightmare of clashes, so I wholeheartedly agree!

In fact there should be an official Announcement December Gigs Day to make everyone happy!

I like The Puppet but don't think it would fit the album.

I've got something in my mind that Will doesn't mind it even if in the second book he says that they'd convinced the label it was better than anything on the album when it wasn't!

It's... different. Worth seeing but it's a bit odd.

It's mainly Pride and Monkeys that feel slightly underdone to me.

Whilst I tend to be loyal to original tracklisting I encountered, I do think adding Do It Clean as track 2 is a good thing but conversely the re-recorded RIIB undermines side 2.

So my perfect Crocodiles is probably 11 tracks long!

I only ever saw them once, supporting Sonic Youth at the Barras, but never felt the inclination to go again. Did see the Pavements film a couple of months ago though.

Side 1 suffers from the production, I think. The 3 songs in the middle of side 1 are better than they come over on record.

And obviously we’re talking about the 10 track UK version not the 12 track US version with Do It Clean and Read It In Books!

The graphic made me check what versions of the album are available on Apple Music. There’s two, the US track listing (as illustrated) and the original UK track listing within the Expanded edition- except weirdly Pride is unavailable on this version, as is Simple Stuff from the bonus tracks.

Here's a thing. If you ask me to come and play for you I'll probably say yes.

Got a very empty live calendar from mid November to NYE.

If you'd like your ears full of sad Scottish folk rock hmu.

Having seen Noel & co at the weekend, do you ever do any Reverberation era tunes?
manicpopthrlls.bsky.social
Mrs MPT just put on Later to watch James and Nina but the show started with Robert Plant covering ... Low.

Yeah the 81 support show was much better than the 87 headline. If I'd known then what I know now I would have absolutely found a way to get to the Comsats)Sound show at the Nite Club
manicpopthrlls.bsky.social
This has been written by AI, surely?
manicpopthrlls.bsky.social
That's quite the bill! Saw the Comsats in their pomp supporting U2 (and in 1987) as well as Blue Orchids supporting the Bunnymen.
