Democrats have been given chance after chance to be the heroes in this situation. Secure their legacies for generations. But time after time, they've chickened out.

Primary these fuckers.

Your local librarian here to say that it’s great if you read lots of books this year, alright if you read barely anything, that audiobooks, romance and graphic novels are all valid formats and genres, and that some authors suck but we’re still not stopping you from reading them.

So I am going to say something about romance as a genre.

A lot of people think that romance is ignorable because <insert thing they think about romance> and romance authors don't count because <insert thing they think about romance>.

This thread is not about whether you have to like romance.

Substack seems determined to subject me to people who mourn the decreasing popularity of "the classics" and literary fiction in general.

Pretentious fucks, the lot of them.

Don't you just love it when a writer stumbles into your genre group (i.e. Romance) and asks for advice on writing a book that'll appeal to "normal readers who like more sophisticated writing"?
