Yeah, and one of the pictures shows that they were idiots about the weather but they did have extra layers and space blankets etc so they weren't even completely unprepared, just massively over confident (assuming that kit is theirs at least - it doesn't look like MR stuff)

It's not Christmas until the Formica Stool of Chastity makes it's appearance

And that would be great for patients too! There's plenty of injuries/conditions that mean you medically can't drive and not everyone has someone to give them a lift or the money to pay for a taxi. It seems completely obvious that hospitals should be well served by buses

They did that to me while I was trying to get to the shops while on crutches and I was ready to murder them. I responded "I'm not" and I must have looked properly angry because they literally backed away

An independent taskforce *just* did a huge review of ADHD in England, and the conclusion was that it's "under-recognised, under-diagnosed and under-treated."

I once told someone who did that to me that given he'd gone in front of me, he'd better actually be faster than me. He went off like a rocket when the lights changed, with obvious effort. It was great, he felt smug and looked like he might die & I didn't have to slow down

Surely there's not enough capacity on Le Shuttle to replace all the ferries Dover-Calais? There's 3 operators running an approximately 2 hourly service each out of season and yes, sometimes weird times ferries are very quiet for car passengers but the freight always seems busy?

Tangential: I'm travelling with them on Friday, with passenger assistance booked but I feel like I'm not injured enough to *really* need it, so thank you for the reminder that Eurostar can devolve into massive queues really easily at which point I absolutely *will* need that assistance
