it's worth noting 1) that there's a longstanding tradition of trying to play solidarity against basic self-respect and 2) that the Combahee River Collective's coining of the term "identity politics" was directly in response to this
i also believe in building a better world for workers. i also believe that all people are entitled to respect and dignity and that there ought to be social sanction for those who openly degrade others. you call me a “n*gger” to my face and i am not going to smile and shake your hand.

Folks really be pushing disabled folks and other marginalized people to just overcome the obstacles and be “successful” anyway instead of REMOVING THE OBSTACLES! I would also make it across the finish line if this gigantic rock wasn’t blocking my path. Goddamn it! I hate it here sometimes. 😤

Just read Lizzo’s Substack article about her weight loss and I have to say that fatphobia and internalized fatphobia are quite insidious. We need fat liberation now.

Idk who needs to hear this, but if you’re in any leadership role be it at work, church, or in your community, you need to be reading. We can’t have leaders that don’t read. And emails don’t count 😜
