North Alabama missed the brunt of the winter storm, with just the tail end of it dropping snow on us this morning.

North Alabama missed the brunt of the winter storm, with just the tail end of it dropping snow on us this morning.
Spending the day prepping for possible power outages this weekend. Checking the generator, having backup gas cans, checking wattages, and assigning cords to freezer/fridge/TV/coffee maker. Modem/router too if fiber stays on.
Hoping this all turns out to have been unnecessary.

Free Saturday matinees for the kids, saw Superman: The Movie three times there. Popcorn and sticky floors.
Had a lava lamp behind the concessions counter. Years later I bought one as a reminder.
They tore it down and put up a jail.

I transcribed, annotated with family history info and pictures, and distributed it to her descendants.
