Kristallnacht was in 1938. The Reichtag was apparently (this is disputed) set alight in 1933 by a Dutch communist, hence the parallel with Donald's Trump radical keft killing Kirk.

The idea that there is a "Left" in American politics is an absurd right wing fantasy, which of course is politically useful to them, but unfortunately it's also useful to centrist media figures who need it to be true for their somber above-it-all commentary to make sense

The rest of the world watches this soap opera of a country in shock and horror... I just can't understand how a country that was supposed to be the leader of the free world can crash and burn so quickly when one man is able to take to complete control.
