The kids today don't know that those women had to engineer their own paint and source the ingredient chemicals for an extremely specific set of qualities. Then come up with variations for different effects

watching the Fantasia Nutcracker segment after reading the big Ink and Paint book gives me a renewed appreciation for it. The dry brushing, airbrushing, little tones and transparencies would not be too demanding today, but back then, it was insanely advanced cel painting work

Actually I'm not sure lighthouse are even mentioned in the art book, never mind individual people lol

Tons of production material just stays on a server, never to be seen again, that will be turned off one day. It reminds me of the days that they used to wash and reuse cels, and just dump other artwork.
they didn't put any of our Cup head show roughs in the art book, but they do exist,
