I feel the same. Wood is my LEAST favorite material. BUT, you get yourself a clamping saw cutting guide and you'll be good to go. Seriously increased my competence and accuracy with my circular saw.

Some clients want actors that they can easily measure like that for marketing purposes, others don't.

Personally, I'm with you and I've never been about it. I prefer to just do the job, get paid, go home. And then if there's something I'm REALLY excited about, you know I'm being genuine about it.

As what being a voice actor became more clearly defined in our time, making *yourself* the product became a priority.

Need high profile work to get fans to quantify quality of work to get high profile work.

A mobius strip.

Before credit cards people would go to customer service with a thing and put it on layaway. Paying the cost of it down at their convenience. Once paid off, they were given said item.

I was at a con this weekend and someone recognized me and was like "I really loved Transformers Cyberverse as a G1 fan" and my heart exploded.

Never met anyone who'd watched the show before. And they KNEW my work.🥹

It matters. It absolutely matters.
